Newsies
Newsies By Avery Moss
I sleep under the stars in New York City
Dreaming of a place I hope and wish is real
Santa Fe your thoughts make me giddy
I long for the day your beauty makes me squeal
Singing and dancing makes me feel rich
I often burst out in song and dance
Newsies can sell papers without a hitch
Papers are our life and they give us a chance
When I first saw your face it made me smile
You looked at me like I was foolish
I haven't felt this way in a very long while
Now I am your one and only wish
Santa Fe, you have given me something to believe in
But I am ready for my new life to begin.
